From Sunday strolls, to cross country rambles, Marston Trussell is the gateway to a number of enjoyable walks.

Marston Trussell is connected to surrounding villages by footpaths – you hardly need to go on the road at all.
The incredible network of footpaths is a unique perk of living in the English countryside.

Winter is a great time to start walking for many reasons; the weather will get warmer and the days longer, there are known health and psychological benefits to getting out in the fresh air, and if you want to walk with your dog, the fields are empty of cattle. Yes, it may be muddy, but wear boots, take a stick to steady yourself, and you’ll be fine.

Another benefit of winter walks is that they give you a chance to style it out in your favourite woolly jumpers, hats, and scarves! Don’t have any? Come to the Knit and Natter group on Wednesday evenings in the village hall and make your own!
